About Me

My name is Mariah Olvera, and I’m so excited to share a little bit about myself with you. I’m currently pursuing my second Master’s Degree in School Counseling with an emphasis in Professional Clinical Counseling at Chapman University. Before stepping into the world of school counseling, I spent over six wonderful years working in early childhood education after earning my first Master’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development from the University of La Verne in 2022.

As a proud first-generation college graduate, I carry with me a deep passion for education, advocacy, and helping students feel seen, supported, and empowered. I believe in building genuine connections with students, families, and school communities, and I’m committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces where every child can thrive.

In my free time, I love staying active, spending quality time with my loved ones (and my adorable dog, Eevee!), and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. Learning truly never ends!
